Quantum Computing Stocks Jump With Alphabet up 4%, Quantum Computing up 26%

Quantum Computing stocks jumped in morning trading. Alphabet rose 4% to a new high; Quantum Computing rose 26%; D-Wave Systems rose 20%; Quantum Corporation rose 18%; Rigetti Computing rose 6%; IONQ rose 5%.

Google parent Alphabet last week unveiled a "breakthrough" quantum computing chip called Willow.

Willow can complete computations in minutes that would take supercomputers 10 septillion years, Google said.

The chip is part of Google's roadmap toward a quantum computer with applications in drug discovery, fusion energy, battery design, and more, CEO Sundar Pichai said.
