How Does Tsingtao Brewery's Acquisition of Jimo Huangjiu Impact the Market? Jinfeng Wine: It Will Focus More Attention on Huangjiu Sector and Expand the Industry

Deep News11-19

On November 7, Shanghai Jinfeng Wine Company Limited held its Q3 2025 earnings briefing.

Regarding Tsingtao Brewery Company Limited's acquisition of Jimo Huangjiu, a key question was whether this move would affect Jinfeng Wine's market position and competitive landscape.

Xu Lili, Vice President of Jinfeng Wine, stated that the acquisition first confirms the value and growth potential of the Huangjiu industry, particularly traditional-brewed Huangjiu, which is gaining broader market recognition. From a competitive standpoint, Jinfeng Wine's core strengths lie in its deep and irreplicable "Shanghai-style Huangjiu culture" heritage, as well as its strong brand loyalty in Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta core markets. The company possesses nationally recognized intangible cultural heritage brewing techniques, with its well-known brands "Shikumen" and "Golden Years" deeply rooted in consumer minds—key advantages in navigating industry changes.

She added that Tsingtao Brewery, as an industry leader entering the Huangju sector, will draw more market attention to the category, attracting additional capital and consumer interest, which will ultimately benefit industry expansion. This development will also drive Jinfeng Wine to further focus on its core strengths, continuously improve product quality, strengthen brand culture, and solidify its leading position in key markets.

On October 30, Shanghai Jinfeng Wine Company Limited released its financial report, showing revenue of 330 million yuan for the first nine months, down 6.86% year-on-year, with a net loss attributable to shareholders of 9.5867 million yuan. In Q3, revenue stood at 114 million yuan, a 2.46% decline, while net loss attributable to shareholders was 2.4507 million yuan.
