Deep News2025-09-30

Leveraging the classic IP of "Talking Tom Cat," the company is attempting to establish its voice in the new AI hardware track.

The latest disclosed semi-annual report shows that Zhejiang Jinke Tom Culture Industry faced certain challenges in its first-half performance. Against the backdrop of adjustments in core gaming business revenue, the company's overall revenue declined compared to the same period last year, with net profit also dropping year-on-year.

This semi-annual report continues the performance adjustment trend since last year. Currently, the company is focusing on the strategic direction of "AI+IP+Agent," extending the Tom Cat family IP from online gaming scenarios to innovative hardware fields such as AI emotional companion robots, aiming to open up new growth spaces.

Core Business Under Pressure

In the first half, Zhejiang Jinke Tom Culture Industry's core business performance faced industry-wide challenges.

The company's traditional advantage sector - online mobile application business - felt market pressure in the first half of this year. The gaming business, which serves as the main source of revenue, showed adjustments compared to the same period last year.

Profitability was affected by multiple factors. Although the company maintained gross margins at relatively high levels, profit margins were significantly squeezed. Increased period expenses became one of the reasons dragging down net profit performance.

The company's asset situation also underwent some changes. As of the end of the interim period this year, the company's total assets decreased compared to the end of the previous year, while the asset-liability ratio showed an upward trend.

Zhejiang Jinke Tom Culture Industry's cash flow situation also faced challenges. In the first half, the company's net cash flow from operating activities declined year-on-year, reflecting the capital turnover pressure the company faces during its business transformation process.

AI Innovation Layout

Facing structural adjustments in its core gaming business, Zhejiang Jinke Tom Culture Industry views AI companion robots as an important strategic direction and is actively advancing product development and market expansion.

The company is fully constructing an omnichannel marketing system both online and offline, accelerating market penetration of AI robot products. Currently, these products have covered mainstream platforms including Douyin, JD.com, Tmall, WeChat, Pinduoduo, and Xiaohongshu.

In terms of product imagery, the Tom Cat family IP contains multiple classic IP character images. The company will soon launch AI emotional companion robots with different IP images to meet different users' preferences for various IP characters.

In terms of application scenarios, the company will use its first-generation AI emotional companion product as a foundation to launch portable products of different forms, or those equipped with cameras and motion functions that can "see" and "move," expanding from desktop scenarios to diverse scenarios including outdoor, travel, and large home spaces.

The company is also actively exploring AI edge-side model solutions with integrated storage and computing, making forward-looking arrangements for data-secure, low-latency AI application terminals on the edge side, strengthening the company's long-term competitiveness in the AI intelligent application field.

As the AI companion robot product matrix continues to enrich and new gaming products launch successively, whether Zhejiang Jinke Tom Culture Industry can find new growth momentum on its transformation path still requires market validation.
