Royal Philips NV has recently introduced its first electric toothbrush featuring on-device artificial intelligence and real-time spatial awareness guidance technology—the new generation DiamondClean 9900 Prestige.
This new product, equipped with a built-in third-generation AI model and spatial guidance technology, can display the user's brushing coverage in real-time during the brushing process through a halo guidance system and a 12-zone oral map on the device's screen. The toothbrush provides prompts when the user misses certain areas. The product also incorporates SenseIQ intelligent pressure sensing technology, which automatically adjusts vibration intensity when excessive force is applied. Combined with Sonicare's fluid dynamics technology and a new generation drive system, the toothbrush is claimed to remove up to 20 times more plaque compared to manual brushing and improve gum health up to 15 times within six weeks.
The product offers eight modes and three intensity settings. The new DiamondClean series also includes the 8000, 8500, and 9000 models. The 9900 Prestige will first launch in Europe and the United States this autumn, with subsequent expansion to other markets.
