Liquor Price Index: Wuliangye's Eighth-Generation Common Five Leads Gains with 5 Yuan Increase on April 8

Data collected over the past 24 hours by the "Liquor Price Index" from Sina Finance shows that the average terminal retail price of major Chinese baijiu products experienced a slight overall decline on April 8. If one bottle of each major product were bundled for sale, the total price today would be 9,933 yuan, a decrease of 5 yuan from the previous day, marking the lowest point in nearly eight days. The market displayed mixed movements with prices fluctuating within a range, indicating a phase of short-term consolidation.

Among the 11 major baijiu products tracked today, three saw price increases, five decreased, and three remained unchanged. On the gaining side, Wuliangye's Eighth-Generation Common Five and Guojiao 1573 each rose by 5 yuan per bottle, while Yanghe's Dream Blue M6+ increased by 4 yuan per bottle. All three products reversed their declining trends from the previous day. Among the decliners, Premium Moutai and Blue and White Langjiu led the downtrend, each falling by 5 yuan per bottle. Feitian Moutai, Blue and White Fenjiu 20, and Xijiao Junpin each decreased by 3 yuan per bottle. Prices for Wuliangye 1618, Gujing Gongjiu's Gu 20, and Crystal Jiannanchun remained unchanged from the previous period.

The daily data for the "Liquor Price Index" is sourced from approximately 200 collection points reasonably distributed across major regions of the country. These points include, but are not limited to, distributors designated by distilleries, independent distributors, e-commerce platforms, and retail outlets. The raw sample data consists of the actual transacted terminal retail prices from these points over the past 24 hours, aiming to provide objective, scientific, and fully traceable data on the market prices of well-known baijiu products. Following the official launch of Feitian Moutai at 1,499 yuan per bottle on the iMoutai platform at the start of the year (which was adjusted upward to 1,539 yuan per bottle in the early hours of March 31) and the subsequent launch of Premium Moutai at 2,299 yuan per bottle on January 9, the gravitational pull of this new sales channel on the average terminal retail prices of these two products has become increasingly apparent. The daily liquor prices published by the "Liquor Price Index" are calculated using a rule that weights actual transaction volumes, and the quantifiable prices from this new channel have been incorporated into the calculation of the terminal retail prices for these two products.

In other significant baijiu industry news, the public account "Moutai Times" reported on the 7th that the first batch of products sold under Kweichow Moutai's new agency sales model have begun shipping since the Qingming Festival holiday. As of the time of reporting, the Hebei region had received the related products, parts of Jiangsu province had completed their first deliveries, while regions like Shanghai had not yet received shipments. All related products are being sold at the official unified price. The report mentioned that this agency sales policy is one of the important measures for the company's market-oriented reform planned for 2026. The company had previously clarified its intention to upgrade its marketing system from a "direct sales + distribution" model to a multi-dimensional collaborative system of "direct sales + distribution + agency sales + consignment sales," and implemented the agency sales policy for several non-standard Moutai products on March 13. Under the agency sales model, qualified channel merchants can voluntarily participate without bearing inventory or capital pressure. They guide consumers to place orders and arrange pickup on the iMoutai platform and receive a service fee based on sales volume.
