JD.com Launches Rural Revitalization Subsidy Campaign in Chengdu

JD.com's "National Subsidy Rural Revitalization Tour" officially commenced in Chengdu, Sichuan on March 28. The event was organized under the guidance of the Chengdu and Pengzhou Commerce Bureaus. At Longxing Temple Square on Longxing North Street in Pengzhou, JD.com collaborated with local JD Home Appliance stores and 3C digital outlets to showcase over a thousand trendy home appliances and electronic products. The initiative brought substantial discounts and immersive shopping experiences directly to consumers' doorsteps.

Shoppers not only benefited from national subsidies but also gained access to exclusive 50% discount offers through the rural subsidy program. Following the campaign's launch, residents from Pengzhou and surrounding rural areas flocked to the venue, creating bustling crowds across various exhibition zones. JD.com partnered with leading home appliance and electronics brands to present products spanning refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, televisions, computers, and mobile phones. Prominent brands including Haier, Midea, Hisense, Changhong Meiling, TCL, Gree, along with vivo, OPPO, Honor, and Lenovo featured prominently at the event.

The campaign introduced substantial subsidy incentives: consumers purchasing refrigerators, washing machines, televisions, air conditioners, computers, and water heaters qualified for 15% subsidies, with maximum single-item subsidies reaching 1,500 yuan. Mobile phones, tablets, smartwatches, and smart glasses also carried 15% subsidies, capped at 500 yuan per item. Individual shoppers could save up to 11,000 yuan cumulatively. JD.com further enhanced the program with exclusive half-price offers specifically for rural consumers, significantly lowering purchasing barriers through dual subsidy mechanisms.

A demonstrated 536-liter double-door refrigerator originally priced at 2,799 yuan saw its final price reduced to 1,360 yuan after combined national and JD.com subsidies, effectively achieving a 50% discount. Energy-efficient air conditioners, full-screen televisions, LCD TVs, and premium water heaters attracted significant attention alongside flagship smartphones and smartwatches, with continuous streams of customers inquiring, testing products, and placing orders.

To improve the consumer experience, JD.com introduced multiple surprise benefits and interactive activities, including 20-yuan reservations for exclusive privileges, instant cash rebates upon reaching spending thresholds, and rotating lucky bags. Beyond national trade-in subsidies, customers could stack JD.com's exclusive discounts, substantially reducing upgrade costs. Numerous participants won major prizes including double-door refrigerators and滚筒 washing machines through on-site lotteries.

The 3C digital zone offered special gifts, allowing new users to purchase 1.4-pound paper rolls for just 0.01 yuan. Additional services included free screen protectors, extended warranties with purchases, and family-friendly interactive games that drew enthusiastic participation from households.

JD.com has allocated nearly 30 billion yuan in 2025 to support national subsidies in rural areas, promoting consumption growth and economic development. With nationwide consumer trade-in subsidies fully implemented in 2026, JD.com has comprehensively integrated these programs both online and offline. Consumers in Sichuan can access dedicated subsidy portals by searching "Sichuan National Subsidy" on the JD.com app, enabling streamlined subsidy applications and one-stop shopping for appliances and electronics. Nearly 30,000 JD.com stores nationwide simultaneously launched subsidy services, allowing hands-on product experiences.

Notably, JD.com provides additional recycling subsidies for old appliances, integrated "delivery, installation, disassembly, and collection" services, and comprehensive "three-free, four-unlimited" policies covering free door-to-door pickup, disassembly, and transportation regardless of original purchase channel, brand, age, or condition. For 3C products, JD.com facilitates doorstep delivery with simultaneous activation and acceptance procedures. The "National Subsidy Rural Revitalization Tour" will expand to more cities and rural areas nationwide, enabling residents to access premium products, competitive pricing, and considerate services locally.
