On October 16, according to a financial news flash, New China Life Insurance Company Ltd. (ASX: 601336) announced that the company recently received approval from the National Financial Regulatory Administration, confirming that Huang Geng's qualification to serve as a director of the company has been approved. Director Huang Geng's term will run from October 10, 2026, until the expiration of the ninth session of the board of directors.
According to his resume, Huang Geng was born in January 1975 and is of Chinese nationality. Huang Geng currently serves as the director of the Property Insurance Supervision Division I and a second-level inspector at the Property Insurance Supervision Department (Reinsurance Supervision Department) of the National Financial Regulatory Administration. Huang Geng has long been engaged in financial regulatory work. Since September 2004, he has successively held positions including cadre and principal staff member at the Supervision Division of the Property Insurance Supervision Department of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission, deputy director of Supervision Division I of the Property Insurance Supervision Department (Reinsurance Supervision Department), deputy director and director of the Institutional Affairs Division (Comprehensive Affairs Division), director of Supervision Division II and first-level researcher, director of the Risk Analysis Division, and director of Property Insurance Supervision Division II and second-level inspector at the Property Insurance Supervision Department (Reinsurance Supervision Department) of the National Financial Regulatory Administration. Since October 2000, he has successively served as deputy section chief at the Guangzhou Office of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission, deputy section chief and principal staff member at the Audit and Inspection Division, and section chief of Section II at the Audit and Inspection Division of the Guangdong Regulatory Bureau. Previously, Huang Geng worked at the Guangzhou Branch of the People's Bank of China. Huang Geng obtained a bachelor's degree in accounting from the Accounting Department of Jinan University in July 2000.
