Japan's Nikkei Index rose 1.4% to close at 60,537.36, marking its first-ever finish above the 60,000-point threshold. Electronics stocks led the gains, with Fanuc and Keyence both surging 16% following the release of their quarterly results. Meanwhile, the yield on 10-year Japanese government bonds increased by 3 basis points to 2.465%.
