Shanghai Disney Resort has announced the launch of its 10th anniversary community appreciation program, titled "Happy Volunteering, See You at Disney." As part of this initiative, the resort will donate a total of 10,000 tickets to Shanghai Disneyland to seven local nonprofit organizations. The donation is intended to recognize community volunteers who have long been dedicated to public service and social welfare activities, while also celebrating and promoting the spirit of volunteerism. On June 16, 2026, Shanghai Disney Resort will mark its 10th anniversary since its grand opening. The "Happy Volunteering, See You at Disney" program is the first special community-focused initiative to be introduced during the resort’s year-long anniversary celebration. Representatives from Shanghai Disney Resort, the Shanghai Volunteer Service Public Foundation, and the seven recipient nonprofit organizations participated in the launch ceremony. The organizations include the Shanghai Charity Foundation, the Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation, the Shanghai Foundation for the Elderly, the Shanghai Children's Foundation, the Shanghai Foundation for Disabled Persons, the Shanghai Science Education Development Foundation, and the Shanghai Pudong New Area Education Development Foundation. With support from the Shanghai Volunteer Service Public Foundation, volunteers also took part in a full day of professional training and experience-sharing sessions. Following the official launch of the program, the seven nonprofit organizations will conduct a comprehensive selection process to determine the final recipients of the donated tickets. These organizations have long focused on supporting children, youth, seniors, and people with disabilities in the community, while also advancing efforts in education, science education, health, culture, and humanitarian care. To be eligible, volunteers must have accumulated at least ten hours of service within a specified period and apply through the nonprofit organization with which they volunteer, following the relevant procedures. Specific application requirements and processes can be found in the official announcements released by each organization. Volunteers selected through the process will have the opportunity to visit Shanghai Disneyland during the resort’s "10th Birthday Celebration" period. In addition, the resort encourages broader participation in the "Happy Volunteering, See You at Disney" initiative, including among its own cast members, to bring care and joy to those in need within the community. As part of the 10th anniversary community program, Shanghai Disney Resort will collaborate closely with the Shanghai Volunteer Service Public Foundation to offer professional training for community volunteers. The training will cover skills such as volunteer mobilization, recruitment and organization of volunteer activities, and management and innovation in volunteer projects, further supporting the promotion of volunteerism. Wang Kai, Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications at Shanghai Disney Resort, stated, "As we prepare to launch a year-long 10th anniversary celebration, we are delighted to introduce this special community program, continuing our long-standing tradition of giving back and strengthening our connection with community volunteers. By inviting volunteers to experience the magic of our 'A Dash of Disney Magic' celebration in person, we hope to inspire more people to embrace the spirit of volunteerism and spread kindness throughout the community."
