The "2026 Shanghai Diamond and Jewelry Culture Week and International Jewelry Fashion Customization Week" series of events officially commenced today in Huangpu District. The exhibition boasts rich and diverse content with numerous highlights, encompassing five core sections: a finished jewelry exhibition by renowned domestic and international designers, a special exhibition and live demonstrations by globally top-tier gemstone cutting masters, a hand-drawn works exhibition for the "Neutral Colored Gemstone Jewelry Design Challenge," professional jewelry design salons, and high-end customization experience workshops.

The event site was a gathering of stars and master artisans. Victor Tuzlukov, the only gemstone cutting master in the world listed in the Guinness World Records, was present to demonstrate the complete process of transforming a gemstone from rough stone, through meticulous cutting and polishing, to a finished product, offering a direct view of the pinnacle of gemstone cutting art. Renowned Italian jewelry designer Alessio Boschi, winner of dozens of international jewelry awards, took the stage to share his creative concepts, presenting a rare colored gemstone series that blends natural inspiration with transformable, multi-functional designs.

This grand event brings together well-known jewelry brands and top design forces from numerous countries worldwide. The international lineup includes Stephen Webster, an MBE recipient from the UK hailed as a "maverick designer"; the German intangible cultural heritage guilloché enamel brand Victor Mayer with a 130-year history; the renowned Italian jewelry brand Alessio Boschi; and the Belgian royal family's official art jewelry brand Wolfers. The domestic segment is equally impressive, featuring emerging talents such as Wu Cheng, the first designer to win the Audience Choice Award at the international Couture Design Awards; Xie Chenyun, who showcased the plique-à-jour enamel technique at the Vicenzaoro jewelry fair; Tang Ying, the creator of the unique "Floating Light Inlay" technique; Liang Dazhao, known as the "pioneer of titanium metal jewelry in China"; and Zheng Zhiying, the first Chinese designer to win the German Red Dot Design Award. They presented their representative works collectively, fully demonstrating the innovative vitality and international standards of Chinese jewelry design.

This Culture Week balances industry exchange with market empowerment, focusing on bridging the production and sales chain and invigorating the jewelry consumer market. Relevant officials from Huangpu District introduced that the "Jewelry Fashion Bonded Warehouse" located in the Greater Yuyuan area has officially opened its bonded display and trading functions to international brands, effectively simplifying customs clearance processes, reducing entry costs, and providing a convenient channel for international jewelry brands to deepen their presence in the Chinese market.

This event serves as both a top-tier professional exchange gathering for the jewelry industry and an immersive fashion culture experience feast for the public. The event runs from June 26th to July 3rd. During this period, Huangpu District is simultaneously launching a series of gold and jewelry consumption promotion activities. Major participating brands are offering various benefits such as limited-time exclusive offers and hands-on jewelry workshop experiences, continuously fueling the summer jewelry consumption boom. Multiple designer-themed salons will be held in succession, deconstructing the creative stories, original concepts, and rare intangible cultural heritage craftsmanship behind the jewelry pieces.

Simultaneously, Huangpu District has meticulously planned three exclusive themed routes: a half-day tour of the Bund's highlights, a one-day tour of the ancient city, and a one-day culinary and art tour of Greater Yuyuan. These invite citizens and tourists to stroll through the district's streets and alleys, immersing themselves in Huangpu's profound jewelry cultural heritage and urban landscape. Furthermore, the Yaowaibund International Designer Jewelry Gallery has opened on the 2nd floor, South Zone, of BFC Bund Financial Center in Greater Yuyuan. It brings together a host of highly popular online designer brands such as CIGALONG, CIRCLE, Lin Xiaotong, and Dust Reverie, creating an offline physical space where jewelry can be viewed up close, tried on, and experienced immersively. This platform provides jewelry enthusiasts with zero-distance access to cutting-edge designs.
