Silkwave Inc (the “Company”) has entered into a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Hong Kong TV International Media Group Limited (HKS) after trading hours on 20 April 2026. The two parties plan to integrate Silkwave’s satellite communication transmission technology with HKS’s multi-channel media content to accelerate growth in converged satellite media services.
Key Cooperation Areas • Satellite Connected Multimedia: HKS’s high-definition programming will be embedded into Silkwave’s in-vehicle connected-car platform to provide live television services.
• “Satellite + 5G” Distribution: Satellite broadcasting will be used to offload traffic during 5G network congestion, ensuring uninterrupted delivery of popular live content.
• ASEAN and Belt-and-Road Expansion: The partnership aims to extend converged media services throughout Southeast Asia by combining Silkwave’s satellite data network with HKS’s media reach across more than 150 markets served via the APSTAR-5, APSTAR-6 and APSTAR-7 satellites.
• Emergency Broadcasting: Silkwave’s satellite channels will prioritise the dissemination of public-service and emergency content produced by HKS.
Strategic Rationale The Board states that collaboration will leverage “complementary advantages, resource sharing and mutual benefit,” supporting Silkwave’s regional expansion strategy and enhancing service offerings for connected vehicles and mobile users. Final terms remain subject to definitive agreements; thus, implementation is not yet guaranteed.
Cautionary Note The memorandum is an expression of intent and not legally binding. Shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise caution in dealing in Silkwave Inc shares; further announcements will be made in accordance with Hong Kong Listing Rules.
