Province-wide Subsidies Worth Billions Boost Consumption with Multi-tier Discounts

Deep News12-12

Starting December 11, Guangxi launched its "Warm Winter Consumption Month" campaign, distributing shopping vouchers in phases until year-end. The initiative combines government subsidies, corporate discounts, and financial incentives to stimulate spending.

The regional commerce department has allocated an additional 150 million yuan to extend the 2025 "Smart Guangxi·Golden Autumn International Consumption Season" new car purchase subsidy program. Local governments are offering tiered top-up subsidies via the UnionPay app. For instance: - Qingxiu District provides 1,000–4,000 yuan subsidies for passenger vehicles priced between 40,000–250,000+ yuan. - Xingning District offers 2,000–4,000 yuan discounts for cars costing 60,000–250,000+ yuan. Consumers can claim these via WeChat’s "Nanning Citizen Card Benefits" mini-program.

Cities including Hezhou, Fangchenggang, and Yulin began issuing supermarket, jewelry, and fuel vouchers on December 11, with Nanning and others following suit. The UnionPay app’s "Guangxi Vouchers" section aggregates these offers. PetroChina, Sinopec, and CNOOC are providing member discounts and car wash perks, while banks subsidize public transit fares.

Dining and accommodation vouchers launched simultaneously: - "Flavorful Guangxi" food coupons (via Meituan/Douyin at 10 AM daily) cover snacks and group meals. - "Guangxi Stays" lodging discounts (20% off, capped at 200 yuan) are available on the "One-Click Guangxi" mini-program or Ctrip. - Campus dining vouchers can be claimed via UnionPay’s dedicated portal.

A novel "Ticket-to-Discount" program debuted on December 11, converting valid concert/sports tickets into 30%-off dining/lodging vouchers (up to 300 yuan) after verification on "One-Click Guangxi." Meituan will join the promotion starting December 18.
