Stock News03-25

STARPLUS LEGEND (06683) fell more than 8% again, bringing its decline to over 35% from its intra-month high of HK$11.15. As of the time of writing, the stock was down 7.82%, trading at HK$7.19, with a turnover of HK$309 million. On the news front, Jay Chou's 16th album, "Child of the Sun," was released globally on digital platforms at midnight on March 25. By 10 a.m., the digital album had sold nearly 1.3 million copies on the QQ Music platform. It is reported that the music video for "Child of the Sun," which boasts visual effects comparable to a Hollywood blockbuster, had a total production cost exceeding RMB 20 million, setting a new record for the highest production cost of an MV in the Chinese music industry. Notably, reception of the album on social media has been polarized. A recent research report highlighted that STARPLUS LEGEND leverages top celebrity IPs, represented by figures such as Jay Chou and Liu Genghong, as underlying assets, building a content commercialization framework driven by "IP creation + new retail + diversified scenarios." The report emphasized the company's core strengths: on one hand, it possesses a continuously innovating matrix of celebrity IPs, and on the other, through its owned traffic and private domain conversion capabilities, it is gradually forming a self-sustaining pan-entertainment industry chain ecosystem.
