US-based insurer Orion180 Insurance Group (OIG.US) has finalized its initial public offering terms, selling 20 million shares at $12 apiece to raise $240 million — a figure that comes in below the previously anticipated $15-to-$17 price band. At the offering price, the company's diluted market capitalization stands at roughly $1.2 billion. Trading on the Nasdaq is slated to commence on September 18 under the ticker symbol "OIG."
According to the company, Orion180 Insurance Group ranks as the second-largest excess and surplus ("E&S") homeowners insurance provider in the United States by direct written premium, with operations spanning 14 states. Over the twelve months ending June 30, 2026, it managed approximately $601 million in underwriting premiums and has sold upwards of 670,000 policies since its inception.
As of June 30, 2026, its diversified product lineup encompasses E&S and admitted homeowners insurance, private flood coverage, and a range of ancillary offerings, all distributed through a network of more than 14,000 active independent agents. In 2025, 51% of its managed underwriting premiums originated from traditional non-admitted products, with a particular emphasis on coastal and catastrophe-exposed properties in high-risk zones.
Founded in 2015, Orion180 Insurance Group posted revenue of $145 million for the twelve months ended June 30, 2026. RBC Capital Markets, UBS Investment Bank, Raymond James, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, Citizens JMP, and Texas Capital Securities are serving as joint book-running managers for the offering.
