Hisense Home Appliances invests RMB1.84 billion of idle funds in Western Trust fixed-income products

Bulletin Express07-06

Hisense Home Appliances Group Co., Ltd. (HISENSE HA) disclosed that between 5 March and 6 July 2026 it entered, together with subsidiaries Hisense Air Conditioning Co., Ltd. and Guangdong Hisense Refrigerator Marketing Co., Ltd., into nine Western Trust wealth-management agreements with an aggregate subscription amount of RMB1.84 billion.

The investments were made in successive tranches—ranging from RMB50.00 million to RMB600.00 million—under the “Western Trust·Yongning No. 1 Bond Investment Collective Fund Trust Plan.” All products are classified as fixed-income, carry a medium-to-low risk rating, invest primarily in government, local government and central-bank bonds, and have open-ended tenures, allowing redemption at the subscribers’ discretion. Returns will fluctuate with market conditions and are therefore not fixed in advance.

Funding for the subscriptions derived entirely from the Group’s idle self-owned cash, deployed under a mandate approved by both the Board (30 March 2026) and the 2025 AGM (25 June 2026) that permits up to RMB23.00 billion to be placed in short-term, low-to-medium-risk fixed-income products to enhance capital utilisation.

Regulatory review indicates that each individual subscription falls below Hong Kong Listing Rule 14.06 thresholds; however, when aggregated, the transactions exceed the 5 % but remain below the 25 % assets ratio, classifying them collectively as discloseable transactions under Rule 14.22. Accordingly, the Company has fulfilled the necessary reporting and announcement obligations.

The Board states that the placements align with internal treasury guidelines, improve returns on idle funds, and will not impede day-to-day operations or core business development. Western Trust, the issuer, is an independent PRC non-bank financial institution ultimately owned by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Shaanxi Province.

Hisense Home Appliances and its subsidiaries remain focused on the research, development, manufacture and marketing of refrigerators, air-conditioners, freezers, washing machines, kitchen appliances, and automotive air-conditioning compressors and thermal management systems.
