Fertile Fields in Longjiang Nurture Riverside's Emerging Black Fungus Industry

Deep News02-28

Currently, during the second harvest season for black fungus, growers in Xinzhai Village, Longjiang Township, Longling County, Baoshan City, are busy moving among the fungus stick racks. They are harvesting thick, fleshy black fungus, which is then dried in barrels and sold directly to the local edible mushroom enterprise in the village. This activity showcases the development of the black fungus industry in Xinzhai Village, which leverages the ecological advantages of the Longchuan River area and operates under a "Party organization + enterprise + farmers" model.

Previously, the village relied mainly on purchased or individually made fungus sticks, leading to inconsistent quality and unstable sales channels. In 2022, Xinzhai Village established a standardized black fungus stick processing plant and introduced a professional edible mushroom company. This enterprise provides comprehensive technical guidance to farmers and facilitates on-site field purchases, effectively resolving production and sales challenges for the growers.

Benefiting from the humid climate and fertile soil along the Longchuan River, the black fungus produced in Xinzhai Village is of superior quality, with a rehydration ratio of 1:18, meeting first-grade standards. The fungus is sown every October, with harvesting beginning in the winter months and continuing until May or June of the following year, ensuring stable industry returns.

Thanks to its high quality, sales channels for Xinzhai Village's black fungus continue to expand. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the village cultivated an average of 400,000 fungus sticks annually, producing over 30 tons of dried fungus per year, with an average annual output value of approximately 2 million yuan. Before the Spring Festival this year, fresh fungus output had already exceeded 75,000 kilograms, indicating strong industry growth momentum.

The head of the edible mushroom enterprise stated that future efforts will focus on expanding into supermarkets, pharmacies, and export channels. The goal is to build the Longjiang black fungus brand, known for being pesticide-free and high-quality, thereby strengthening the industry and supporting steady income growth for local residents.
