China Starch completes HKD 0.32 million on-market buyback; issued shares trimmed by 0.03%

China Starch Holdings Limited disclosed that on 26 August 2026 it repurchased 2.00 million ordinary shares on the Hong Kong Exchange at prices ranging between HKD 0.16 and HKD 0.161 per share, for a total consideration of HKD 0.3205 million.

Following the transaction, the number of issued shares (excluding treasury shares) fell from 5.80 billion to 5.80 billion—down by 0.03%—while treasury shares rose to 9.01 million. The overall share count, including treasury shares, remained unchanged at 5.81 billion.

The buyback was executed under the mandate approved on 12 May 2026, which authorises the company to repurchase up to 596.45 million shares. Cumulative repurchases under this mandate now total 139.11 million shares, equivalent to 2.33% of the issued share base on the mandate date.

In accordance with Hong Kong listing rules, China Starch is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or disposing of treasury shares until 25 September 2026.
