Major Shareholder Transfers SAMSONITE (01910) Shares from BNP Paribas to HSBC, Valued at HKD 701 Million

According to the latest information from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, on May 12th, a shareholder of SAMSONITE (01910) transferred shares from BNP Paribas to The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC). The transfer had a market value of HKD 701 million, representing 3.45% of the company's shares.

In a separate announcement, SAMSONITE stated that on April 2, 2026, the company granted time-vested Restricted Share Units (RSUs) to new employees of the company and its subsidiaries under the 2022 Share Award Scheme. The number of ordinary shares in the company's share capital related to the time-vested RSUs granted is 789,400.

Furthermore, the company's Remuneration Committee, with the approval of the independent non-executive directors, has proposed to grant RSUs to the company's Chief Executive Officer that exceed the 0.1% individual limit under the Share Award Scheme. It is proposed that shareholders consider and, if deemed appropriate, approve this suggested grant at the Annual General Meeting scheduled for June 4, 2026.
