HENGRUI PHARMA (01276) shares climbed more than 4% in late trading, currently up 3.9% to HK$58.6, with a trading volume of HK$220 million. On August 6, the company announced that the third indication for its Ruikang Trastuzumab Injection has received market approval, making it China's first anti-HER2 product approved for colorectal cancer. This indication targets adult patients with HER2-positive colorectal cancer who have failed treatment with oxaliplatin, fluorouracil, and irinotecan. Previously, the drug had been approved for two indications: non-small cell lung cancer and breast cancer.
Notably, in June this year, HENGRUI PHARMA's Cyclosporine Eye Drops IV (Hengyi) received approval for treating reduced tear production caused by dry eye disease. As China's first and only 0.1% anhydrous cyclosporine eye drop, this product offers multiple therapeutic advantages and is expected to drive clinical drug iteration. With several innovative products successively gaining market approval, the company's ophthalmology portfolio is entering a harvest phase.
