Mengniu Dairy Reports No Change in Issued Share Count; 4,000-Share Buyback Executed at HKD 17.80

Bulletin Express09-29 18:07

China Mengniu Dairy Company Limited disclosed that its issued share capital remained unchanged at 3.87 billion ordinary shares as of 29 September 2026.

Although the total share count was stable, the dairy producer continued its share-repurchase programme. On 29 September 2026 the company bought back 4,000 shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange at HKD 17.80 per share, spending HKD 0.07 million. All repurchased shares are intended for cancellation.

Including earlier market operations between 31 August and 29 September 2026, Mengniu Dairy has acquired 1.80 million shares pending cancellation, representing approximately 0.05 % of the current issued share base.

Since shareholders granted the existing buy-back mandate on 5 June 2026, the company has repurchased a cumulative 4.74 million shares, equivalent to 0.12 % of the share capital outstanding on the mandate date. The mandate authorises repurchases of up to 387.89 million shares; therefore, 383.15 million shares remain available for potential buy-back.

Under Hong Kong listing rules, Mengniu Dairy is subject to a 30-day moratorium on issuing new shares or selling any treasury shares, effective until 29 October 2026.
