On October 21, Lens Technology Co.,Ltd. (ASX: 300433) held a ceremony marking the rollout of its 10,000th mass-produced cockpit domain controller. The intelligent cockpit domain controller project, developed in partnership between Lens Technology Co.,Ltd. and Megatronix, has now exceeded 10,000 cumulative units delivered, signaling the project's official transition from small-batch trial production to a stable mass-production ramp-up phase. The full chain of automotive-grade reliability, production line processes, supply chain quality control, and vehicle delivery logistics has completed mass-production validation, laying a solid foundation for undertaking more domain controller and highly integrated automotive electronics projects in the future.
The domain controller project sees Megatronix providing solution design, software platform, and system integration, while Lens Technology Co.,Ltd. takes on automotive-grade complete unit manufacturing. In response to the high-reliability requirements of automotive-grade products, including a 10- to 15-year service life, wide-temperature operation, vibration resistance, and electromagnetic compatibility, the Lens Technology team upgraded its SMT process control standards, added multiple inspection and high-temperature aging screening procedures, and established a dedicated failure analysis mechanism. Given the characteristics of coordinated software and hardware iteration, a joint project team was formed with Megatronix to implement software version and hardware BOM binding traceability as well as rapid change response processes. At the same time, long-lead-time chip materials were locked in advance, and a digital quality traceability system was built, ensuring the intelligent cockpit domain controller project successfully passed the OEM's PPAP certification and enabling smooth progress from mass-production launch to the 10,000-unit delivery milestone.
The 10,000-unit rollout is both a milestone achievement and a new starting point for scaled ramp-up. Going forward, Lens Technology will continue to refine its automotive-grade manufacturing capabilities, enhance per-vehicle value growth potential, deepen collaboration with industry chain partners, provide stable and reliable mass-production manufacturing support for intelligent vehicle customers, and steadily advance the strategic upgrade of its automotive electronics business.
