Data collected over the past 24 hours from a market pricing tracker shows that the total retail prices of major baijiu products saw a notable recovery on August 3. If one bottle of each key product were sold together as a bundle, the total price would be 9,901 yuan, up 29 yuan from the previous day, marking a second consecutive day of gains and returning above the 9,900 yuan threshold, hitting an eight-day high.
Wuliangye Puwu 8th Generation led the rise, with prices increasing by 10 yuan per bottle, rebounding for a second straight day from the lowest level since the tracker began in November last year, accumulating a total gain of 20 yuan per bottle. Prices have returned to around 790 yuan, with the recovery pace accelerating. Guojiao 1573 and Gujing Gongjiu Gu 20 both rose by 6 yuan per bottle, with the former ending yesterday's pullback and returning to the 880 yuan mark, while the latter continued its recent pattern of price volatility. Yanghe Dream Blue M6+ increased by 5 yuan per bottle, ending a three-day losing streak and approaching the 600 yuan mark again. Qinghua Lang rose by 3 yuan per bottle, fully recovering yesterday's losses. Wuliangye 1618 and Blue-and-White Fenjiu 20 both rose by 2 yuan per bottle, with the former ending its three-day decline and the latter tying a one-month high price record. Crystal Jiannanchun edged up by 1 yuan per bottle, rebounding from a one-month low.
On the losing side, Premium Moutai led the declines, falling by 4 yuan per bottle, ending a two-day winning streak. Feitian Moutai dropped by 2 yuan per bottle, with its national average retail price declining for three consecutive days, continuing the high-level consolidation pattern following the price hike on July 18. Xijiu Junpin prices remained unchanged from the previous day, tying the highest record since May 19 this year.
The data is collected daily from approximately 200 sampling points reasonably distributed across all major regions of China, including designated distributors, social distributors, e-commerce platforms, and retail outlets. The raw sampling data reflects the actual retail transaction prices of the past 24 hours, aiming to provide objective, scientific, and fully traceable data on the market prices of major baijiu products.
Since the official iMoutai platform began selling Feitian Moutai at 1,499 yuan per bottle on New Year's Day (raised to 1,539 yuan per bottle on March 31 and further to 1,639 yuan per bottle on July 18), and Premium Moutai at 2,299 yuan per bottle on January 9 (raised to 2,359 yuan per bottle on May 16), this new channel's magnetic influence on the average retail prices of these two products has gradually become evident. The daily published prices follow a volume-weighted calculation rule, with verified price data incorporated into the calculation of the retail prices for these two products.
In other key industry news, a research team from Huachuang Securities released a weekly note stating that the baijiu sector has shown strong defensive characteristics, with bottom signals becoming clearer. Feedback from Henan distribution channels indicates that baijiu shipments in July achieved double-digit growth compared to the same period in 2025, but this was mainly driven by a low base, with a gap still existing compared to the same period in 2024. By brand, Kweichow Moutai, Wuliangye, and Shanxi Fenjiu performed relatively well: Feitian Moutai wholesale prices have fallen to between 1,680 yuan and 1,690 yuan per bottle, with channel profits still considerable. Qinghua 20 wholesale prices are around 350 yuan per bottle, with inventory remaining healthy. For Puwu 8th Generation, historical inventory is being cleared at an accelerated pace, but channel price confidence remains weak. The Huachuang research team believes that the baijiu sector accelerated its bottoming process in the second quarter, and product sales and financial reports in the second half of the year are expected to gradually improve on a low base. They recommend long-term investment in high-quality blue-chip stocks while seizing quarterly opportunities. Preferred targets include Kweichow Moutai, with attention also on Gujing Gongjiu, Jinshiyuan, Wuliangye, Shanxi Fenjiu, and Luzhou Laojiao.
