Deep News04-30

Eve Energy Co.,Ltd. showcased its 46-series large cylindrical batteries and system solutions during the 2026 (19th) Beijing International Auto Exhibition. A company representative recently stated that the large cylindrical batteries have gained favor from BMW, while cylindrical cells have also entered Mercedes-Benz's supply chain. This has sparked interest from numerous potential domestic and international clients, with European automakers maintaining close communication with Eve Energy to promote the adoption of cylindrical battery products across more vehicle manufacturers.

The representative emphasized Eve Energy's commitment to a global strategy. In addition to its plant in Hungary, the company is establishing production lines in Malaysia, Southeast Asia. The core objectives are to be closer to customers, diversify production capacity, reduce costs and trade barriers, and accelerate market entry. The localization supply model is a key direction for Eve Energy, with plans for more overseas factories in the future.

Regarding delivery progress for the large cylindrical batteries, the representative noted that the Jingmen facility is operating at full capacity to support mass production for partner automakers. Specific delivery volumes can be referenced against BMW model sales figures.

On the prospects for cylindrical batteries in emerging sectors such as aircraft and robotics, the representative highlighted differing requirements compared to traditional automakers. Emerging applications generally demand batteries with smaller size, higher flexibility, and greater power density, presenting distinct usage scenarios from power batteries. Eve Energy has engaged in projects involving AI robots, drones, and manned aircraft, with products already delivered. The company is well-positioned to meet the higher technical barriers and increased R&D demands in these areas.

During the Beijing Auto Show, the globally debuted BMW Neue Klasse iX3 long-wheelbase model (including iX3, i3, and i7 variants) featured Eve Energy's large cylindrical batteries. FAW Hongqi's full-scenario luxury off-road vehicle also utilizes these batteries. Eve Energy's prismatic battery series are additionally used in models such as the Beijing Off-Road BJ40 EREV, Arcfox S3, Leapmotor A10, and Chery Fengyun A9 EREV.
