FREETECH (HKEX: 06888) has released an announcement regarding its expected financial performance.
The company forecasts a net loss attributable to its owners of approximately HK$35 million for the six-month period ending June 30, 2026. This represents a significant increase compared to the net loss of about HK$9.4 million recorded for the same period ending June 30, 2025.
The anticipated net loss for the first half of 2026 is primarily attributed to delays in the progress of certain asphalt pavement maintenance service and equipment projects.
Funding for these specific projects was not secured during the first half of 2026, leading to their postponement to the latter half of the year.
Consequently, this deferral is expected to result in a decline in expected revenue from both of the company's core business segments: asphalt pavement maintenance services and asphalt pavement maintenance equipment.
