Deep News07-15

Banner Bank has issued its Corporate Responsibility Report for 2025, outlining the company's initiatives and achievements in areas such as community service, corporate governance, talent development, and environmental protection. The report highlights significant progress made by the Walla Walla, Washington-based bank across multiple fronts.

A key finding of the report is that Banner Bank has once again received an "Outstanding" Community Reinvestment Act rating from the U.S. Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. This marks the second consecutive time the bank has achieved this top rating. Among banks in the four states where Banner Bank operates that are evaluated under the large bank method, fewer than 5% have earned this distinction twice in a row.

In terms of customer service, Banner Bank ranked first in the Northwest region in the J.D. Power U.S. Retail Banking Satisfaction Study. It achieved the highest scores in four out of seven key areas, including trust, people, account offerings, and problem resolution. Furthermore, the company has been certified as a Great Place to Work, with an overall employee engagement score of 86%, nearly 20 percentage points above the U.S. average.

The report also details Banner Bank's ongoing efforts to advance its climate risk management program. This initiative is designed to address real-world events impacting communities and to strengthen related tools and frameworks. The release of the corporate responsibility report was accompanied by a Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures report, as well as disclosures prepared in accordance with the standards of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board and the GRI BIO INC.

Mark Grescovich, President and Chief Executive Officer of Banner Corporation, stated that throughout 2025, the company has continued to pursue investment, innovation, and growth. This strategy has enhanced operational capabilities and strengthened community impact while maintaining financial discipline and a robust risk profile.
