The stock price of JUNSHI BIO (01877) has climbed more than 5%, with a gain of 5.44% to HK$19.53 at the time of reporting, on a trading volume of approximately HK$44.26 million.
The catalyst for the move is news that the company's product, Junmaikang® (adalimumab injection), has been included in the updated National Essential Drug List (2026 edition). This inclusion is expected to benefit patients with autoimmune chronic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and psoriasis.
Junmaikang®, co-developed by JUNSHI BIO and Mabwell, was first approved for marketing in China in 2022 and is already covered under the National Reimbursement Drug List (Class B). The product has now received approval for eight indications domestically, including rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriasis, uveitis, polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis, pediatric plaque psoriasis, Crohn's disease, and pediatric Crohn's disease.
Furthermore, the product's commercial partnerships extend to 17 countries, with marketing applications submitted in seven nations. It has already received approval for market entry in Indonesia in 2025.
