Summer Grain Harvest Sets Record, Exceeding 300 Billion Jin for First Time

Data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on the 10th shows that China's summer grain harvest in 2026 was bountiful, with output surpassing 300 billion jin for the first time, reaching 3014.9 billion jin. This achievement lays a solid foundation for stabilizing annual grain production.

The sown area for summer grain remained largely stable. Looking at regional distribution, among the 25 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) producing summer grain, 19 saw an increase in sown area.

The yield per unit area for summer grain showed steady growth. In 2026, the national average yield for summer grain was 378.8 kilograms per mu, an increase of 0.8% compared to the previous year.

First-Half Border Crossings Hit Historic High of 369 Million

On the 10th, the National Immigration Administration released data indicating that in the first half of the year, the cumulative number of people inspected entering and exiting the country at all ports reached 369 million, a year-on-year increase of 10.8%, setting a new historical record. Among these, visa-exempt entries by foreigners totaled 17.815 million, accounting for 77.7% of all foreign entries, representing a 30.6% year-on-year increase.

National Electricity Load Reaches Unprecedented Peak

It was learned from the National Development and Reform Commission that on the 10th, the national electricity load reached a historic high, hitting 1.518 billion kilowatts, which is 10 million kilowatts higher than the previous record. Currently, the national installed power generation capacity exceeds 4 billion kilowatts, indicating a continuous enhancement in power supply security.
