Bank of Beijing Partners with Beijing Information Science & Technology University to Explore New Model of Joint Innovation

On December 1, Bank of Beijing (601169) and Beijing Information Science & Technology University held a signing ceremony for the Joint Innovation Cooperation Agreement and inaugurated the "Joint Laboratory of Technology Finance and Financial Technology." Key attendees included Guo Fu, President of the university, Wang Wenjie, Deputy Party Secretary, Zhang Jian, Vice President, as well as Huo Xuewen, Chairman of Bank of Beijing, Dai Wei, President, and Xu Maomao, Vice President.

Following the agreement, both parties will deepen integration in resources such as talent, technology, and industry, jointly promoting mutual empowerment between technology and finance. The collaboration will focus on advancing innovative applications of cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence, big data, and blockchain in finance. Key areas include smart campus development, big data-driven risk control, digital financial services, AI, knowledge graph construction, and talent cultivation, aiming to expand the breadth and depth of cooperation.

Huo Xuewen emphasized that the university, a key institution supported by Beijing, has distinct strengths in information technology, defense, and industry. Guided by its "Double First-Class" initiative, it actively contributes to the capital's socio-economic development and national technological progress. As a bank bearing the name of Beijing, Bank of Beijing is committed to innovating education financial services. Since establishing ties with the university in 2009, the bank has deepened collaboration in areas like account settlement, IT infrastructure, faculty and student services, union support, and subsidiary assistance. Moving forward, both sides will enhance cooperation in payroll services for staff, student ID cards, and third-generation social security cards, leveraging full-lifecycle financial services to support high-quality education development.

Guo Fu noted that the university has achieved significant progress in disciplines, talent cultivation, scientific research, fintech, and digitalization, aligning with its goal of becoming a high-level institution with distinctive information technology features. He expressed hope that the strategic partnership would serve as a new starting point, leveraging policy, resource, and funding advantages. Initiatives like the joint laboratory, collaborative research on key technologies, and talent development programs aim to set a benchmark for university-bank synergy.

Next, Bank of Beijing will continue focusing on the "Five Key Areas of Finance," partnering with the university to explore a new integrated model of "finance + education + technology," jointly supporting the capital's socio-economic growth and contributing to China's education advancement.
