At the launch ceremony for the "AI for All" initiative held on August 27, Hong Kong's Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, Professor Sun Dong, outlined how the program will provide practical support to help small and medium-sized enterprises upgrade their operations. The initiative, organized in partnership with HKPC, focuses on offering hands-on training tailored to real workplace scenarios for SMEs and working professionals.

Since its establishment, HKPC has been dedicated to helping Hong Kong businesses leverage technology to enhance productivity and maintain competitive advantages. As the third organizer of the "AI for All" program, HKPC brings decades of corporate service experience, ensuring precise and professional support for SMEs navigating the AI era. For instance, the rise of "one-person companies" has become a notable trend driven by AI advancements, where entrepreneurs juggle multiple roles within their business. HKPC specifically addresses these operational pain points to enable low-cost, high-efficiency business models.

Professor Sun emphasized that artificial intelligence has become a core driver of global industrial upgrades and digital economic growth. With over 90% of Hong Kong's businesses being SMEs, they form the backbone of the city's economic development. Helping these enterprises achieve digital transformation through AI adoption is a key priority of the "AI for All" initiative, boosting their competitiveness in an increasingly technology-driven landscape.

Hong Kong currently stands at a critical juncture for economic transformation and high-quality development, with AI poised to serve as a vital engine. Through the "AI for All" initiative, the government aims to position AI not only as a tool for enhancing business value and competitiveness but also as a transformative benefit for SMEs and the general public. The vision is to make "AI for All" synonymous with "upgrade for all, opportunity for all" across Hong Kong.
