Xiaomi's Vehicle Management System Enhances Safety and Control

Deep News04-09

Xiaomi's owner management mode allows vehicle owners to restrict and configure their car's power performance through the central control screen or mobile app. This feature provides enhanced safety and peace of mind during valet parking, when lending the vehicle, or when novice drivers are using the car. Owners can freely choose whether to activate the following restrictions, which become effective once the main owner mode switch is enabled.

The restrictions include power limitation, which proportionally reduces power response across all driving modes rather than confining the vehicle to a single fixed mode. This maintains multiple driving mode options while ensuring greater safety. High-performance modes such as Boost mode, launch control, and master tuning can be disabled to prevent reckless driving or accidental activation by inexperienced drivers. A maximum speed limit can also be set to prevent speeding.

For new vehicles, a driving safety protection feature is automatically enabled for the first 300 kilometers, limiting power output to lower levels. After 300 kilometers, the interface automatically changes to the owner management mode.

Xiaomi vehicles support five-zone voice recognition. Users can disable voice wake-up in specific zones through the settings menu under "Super XiaoAi > Wake-up Zones," preventing accidental activation by rear-seat passengers.

Future over-the-air updates will enable a pet mode feature for Xiaomi YU7, first-generation Xiaomi SU7, and Xiaomi SU7 Ultra models. Upgrade schedules will be announced officially based on adaptation progress.

The rear control screen in the new SU7 includes anti-loss protection. If a passenger accidentally removes the screen from the vehicle, both the rear screen and central display will issue alerts. The rear screen will sound an alarm and display a reminder to return the device, while the central screen will show a notification that the rear screen has been taken out.

The front crash absorption box in the new SU7, located between the bumper beam and front longitudinal beam, enhances safety by deforming during collisions to absorb impact energy. With a 280mm deformation zone and a grid-pattern cavity structure, it ensures stable energy absorption while improving repairability. Bolt connections allow easy replacement of the bumper beam and absorption box after low-speed collisions if the longitudinal beam remains undamaged.
