Data collected over the past 24 hours shows the average terminal retail price for major Chinese baijiu products experienced a slight overall increase on May 27. If one bottle of each major product were bundled for sale, the total price today would be 9,941 yuan, representing a modest increase of 15 yuan from the previous day. The recent market has been fluctuating at a low level, showing minor recovery today with a slight uptick in terminal trading sentiment. However, significant divergence in price movements among core products persists.
Among the 11 major baijiu products today, seven rose while four fell, with gainers holding a clear advantage. On the upside, Gujinggong's Gu 20 led the gains, rising 10 yuan per bottle, rebounding quickly from its monthly low. Qinghualang increased by 6 yuan per bottle, marking its third consecutive day of gains and setting a new record high for the month. Qinghua Fen 20 rose by 4 yuan per bottle. Crystal Jiannanchun gained 3 yuan per bottle. Premium Moutai increased by 2 yuan per bottle. Both Guojiao 1573 and Yanghe's Dream Blue M6+ saw minor increases of 1 yuan per bottle, with the latter once again surpassing the 600 yuan threshold.
On the downside, Wuliangye's standard eighth-generation product led the declines, falling 6 yuan per bottle, matching its largest single-day drop in nearly a month. Its price has quickly fallen to the month's lowest level after two consecutive days of decline, with its recent price center showing a clear downward trend. Feitian Moutai, Wuliangye 1618, and Xijun Junpin each fell by 2 yuan per bottle, with Xijun Junpin hitting a new monthly low and showing a significant downward shift in its one-month price average.
The daily price data is sourced from approximately 200 collection points reasonably distributed across major regions nationwide, including but not limited to official distributors designated by distilleries, independent distributors, e-commerce platforms, and retail outlets. The raw sample data consists of actual terminal retail transaction prices from these points over the past 24 hours, aiming to provide objective, scientific, and fully traceable data on the market prices of well-known baijiu products.
With the official i-Moutai platform launching sales of Feitian Moutai at 1,499 yuan per bottle at the beginning of the year (adjusted to 1,539 yuan per bottle on March 31) and Premium Moutai at 2,299 yuan per bottle on January 9 (adjusted to 2,359 yuan per bottle on May 16), the influence of this new sales channel on the average terminal retail prices of these two products is gradually becoming apparent. The daily published prices follow a calculation rule weighted by confirmed transaction volumes, and the verifiable prices from this channel have been incorporated into the calculation of the terminal retail prices for these two products.
In other significant baijiu industry news, with the FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico approaching, Wuliangye's co-branded blind box with the tournament has recently seen intense market speculation. According to information from Wuliangye's official flagship store, the single-bottle price for this co-branded blind box is 840 yuan, with a full case of six bottles priced at 5,040 yuan. The corresponding product is the core offering, the eighth-generation Wuliangye. When ordering a full case, there is only a 1% chance of receiving one of the eight special editions co-branded with the World Cup's historically champion national teams. Customer service from the Wuliangye flagship store stated that the hidden edition is based on luck and specific styles cannot be requested. Driven by scarcity, several sellers on secondary trading platforms have listed the Wuliangye champion national team hidden editions, with prices generally reaching more than double the standard single-bottle price, with some specific styles commanding a premium exceeding five times.
