GEEKPLUS-W (02590) surged more than 8% in afternoon trading, rising 6.99% as of press time to HK$6.50, with a turnover of HK$42.5466 million.
On the news front, recent positive developments in robotics both domestically and overseas have driven the sector higher. The Ministry of Commerce and eight other departments issued a document explicitly promoting the implementation of embodied intelligence technology in commercial logistics and other scenarios. The State Administration for Market Regulation approved and released the first batch of six national standards for humanoid robots. Industrial robot output grew 29.1% year-on-year in the first three quarters, providing direct validation of the industry's fundamentals. OpenAI simultaneously signaled expansion of its robotics team, further reinforcing the overseas industry narrative.
Among Hong Kong-listed robotics companies, GEEKPLUS-W is one of the few targets with embodied product capabilities and is also one of only three robotics listed companies to have surpassed the RMB 1 billion half-year revenue milestone.
In February of this year, GEEKPLUS-W launched Gino 1, the world's first general-purpose robot designed for warehousing scenarios, anchored on "actually getting work done." In March, it released a tote-to-person embodied intelligent picking solution. In May, its unmanned picking workstation completed benchmark pilot acceptance at Schneider Electric's Shanghai logistics center. In July, GEEKPLUS-W unveiled its "one core, dual engine" embodied layout strategy and the Gravity embodied intelligence framework at WAIC 2026.
