"Our robot orders for the first quarter have already exceeded the total volume for the entire last year!" said Liu Jianzhao, Production Supervisor at Nanjing Hemao, pointing to the production lines operating at full capacity. "Last year, the company's total output value was 15 million yuan. This year's target is to double that, reaching 30 million yuan, and we are very confident."
The journey of this 20-year-old factory involves several phases of transformation and upgrading. Inside Nanjing Hemao's production workshop, rows of heavy-duty self-lifting transport vehicles and heavy-duty AGV transport robots are lined up, as workers rush to complete an order worth nearly 1.5 million yuan. These soon-to-be-completed intelligent transport equipment units are destined for Jiangsu, Guangdong, and other regions, where they will serve local industries such as precision mold manufacturing, automotive manufacturing, and copper processing.
Let's review the company's path of transformation: Established in 2006, Nanjing Hemao initiated its first critical shift in 2015—moving from general machining to the manufacturing of intelligent automation equipment. In 2023, the company took a more strategic step by formally establishing an R&D department, bringing in a team of software engineers with decades of industry experience, and launching its first-generation AGV products. These products gained market recognition and are widely used in vehicle manufacturing, aerospace, engineering machinery, and other sectors. By early 2026, the company had further enhanced its product positioning accuracy from the original millimeter level, further expanding its market reach.
Leveraging strong technical capabilities and customized services, the company has established stable cooperative relationships with well-known enterprises such as Jintian Copper, Baowu Group, and Chery Commercial Vehicles.
High-precision heavy-duty mobile robots, applied in fields like automotive manufacturing, are now stepping from industrial workshops onto concert stages. If previous transformations were about building internal strength, this year marks a technological "eruption" for Hemao. Recently, a batch of heavy-duty mobile robots with a load capacity of 6 tons was dispatched from Hemao to the venue of a concert by a famous domestic singer.
"Stage sets are large, heavy, and need to move precisely on stage. Even a slight error could cause props to collide, which places extremely high demands on product accuracy," Liu Jianzhao explained. This product utilizes advanced hybrid navigation and motion control technologies to achieve millimeter-level precision positioning, which immediately caught the client's eye. Liu Jianzhao revealed that this order is already the client's second follow-up order. The product's adaptability to diverse scenarios and high stability have enabled Hemao's intelligent transport solutions to achieve full-scenario coverage, from "industrial workshops" to "glittering stages."
Transitioning from pure machining to a dominant focus on intelligent robotics, Nanjing Hemao has undergone a magnificent transformation. "Strictly speaking, we are not only engaged in R&D but also in providing solutions, with a key focus on helping customers solve problems, reduce labor, and use software for control," said Li Gang, Chairman of Nanjing Hemao. He stated that the company's primary goal this year is to stabilize and consolidate its position, with plans to integrate AI technologies into areas such as robotic fingers over the next three years.
The cluster effect of "Intelligent Manufacturing" in Shiqiu is becoming evident. In Shiqiu Street, the rise of Nanjing Hemao is not an isolated case; an industrial upgrade is accelerating. Building on existing industrial foundations, the street has anchored itself in the high-end intelligent manufacturing equipment sub-sector of "industrial robots" and initiated systematic industrial upgrading. To date, Shiqiu has attracted more than ten new projects, each valued at over 100 million yuan, including Haobo Intelligent and Jingyao Intelligent. Simultaneously, it is promoting the transformation of local backbone enterprises towards intelligent production lines.
