In response to inquiries regarding progress in addressing the Nexperia semiconductor matter, the Ministry of Commerce has provided an update.

During the regular press conference held on the 16th, Ministry of Commerce spokesperson He Yadong stated that since establishing the open and pragmatic comprehensive cooperative partnership over a decade ago, bilateral economic and trade cooperation between China and the Netherlands has continuously deepened.

On July 7, Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Liesje Schreinemacher visited China. Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao co-chaired the 18th meeting of the China-Netherlands Joint Economic and Trade Commission with her, where they held candid and in-depth exchanges on China-Netherlands and China-EU economic and trade relations.

Both sides agreed that their respective governments should create a favorable environment to encourage enterprises to resolve disputes through negotiation, thereby ensuring the security and stability of the global semiconductor industry and supply chains.
