Intel is set to collaborate with Japanese firm Hitachi Ltd. to enhance robotic yield and energy efficiency within manufacturing facilities, which will include the American chipmaker's own plants.
The two companies stated in a Friday announcement that Intel's wafer fabrication facilities will utilize Hitachi's AI service, HMAX Energy.
