Intel stock jumped 2% in premarket trading on Tuesday.

SoftBank Corp said on Tuesday its unit Saimemory had formed a collaboration with Intel to develop a new class of memory chip technology. 

The two will collaborate on commercializing “Z-Angle operation memory technology,” with the goal of creating high capacity, high bandwidth, and low power consumption chips. 

Teradyne forecast first-quarter revenue and profit above Wall Street estimates on Monday, driven by multibillion-dollar investments by technology companies on data center expansion to enable AI capabilities, sending its shares up 23% in premarket trading on Tuesday.

The increase in complexity of AI compute and memory chips and an acceleration in production timelines has prompted chipmakers to increase capital spending on testing equipment, benefiting Teradyne.

AES Corp jumped 6% in premarket trading on Tuesday.

BlackRock Inc.’s Global Infrastructure Partners has teamed up with EQT AB in its bid to acquire power company AES Corp., according to people familiar with the matter.

The two investment firms could reach an agreement as soon as the coming weeks to buy AES, which provides renewable power to tech giants like Microsoft Corp., said the people. No final decision has been made and the talks could still drag on or fall through, said the people, who asked to not be identified because the matter is private.
