Stock News13:58

XD INC (02400) saw its shares jump more than 4% in Tuesday's afternoon session, driven by its latest interim results that showcased steady revenue growth and robust advances across both its online and paid game segments.

As of the time of writing, the stock was trading up 3.88% at HK$43.86, with turnover reaching HK$194 million. The company released its mid-year financials at noon, reporting first-half revenue of HK$3.312 billion, a 7.5% increase year-over-year. Profit for the period stood at HK$714 million, down 5.4%, while adjusted profit came in at HK$772 million, reflecting a 3.0% decline from the prior year.

Where the growth story lies, the group's existing game portfolio comprises 23 online titles and 52 premium paid games. During the reporting period, online game revenue climbed 11.0% to approximately HK$2.2 billion, a surge primarily attributed to the successful launch and widespread popularity of Heartbeat Town across multiple overseas markets and regions.

Adding to the momentum, paid game revenue totaled HK$82.529 million, marking a notable 30.9% increase compared to the same period last year. This robust uptick was largely driven by the revenue contribution from the mobile version of Dave the Diver, which debuted during the period and resonated strongly with players.
