DAMAI ENT (01060) rose nearly 5%, gaining 4.65% to HK$0.9 by the time of writing, with a turnover of HK$45.1351 million. According to Dengta Pro, as of 18:05 on December 28, the total box office revenue (including pre-sales) for the 2025 New Year film season (November 28 to December 31) had reached 5.245 billion yuan. It is understood that the 2025 New Year box office marks only the second time in Chinese film history, following the 2017 season, that the New Year period has surpassed the 5-billion-yuan mark, setting a new eight-year high for the corresponding period. A research report from Western Securities noted that DAMAI ENT is strategically positioned in the dual high-growth sectors of live performances and IP derivatives, expressing optimism about the sustainability of the strong momentum in live entertainment. On the demand side, self-indulgence and social needs are resonating, leading to an increase in the proportion of repeat attendance. Furthermore, the ticketing business provides a stable foundational performance, while Alibaba Fish is also expected to contribute earnings flexibility, fully benefiting from the ongoing recovery and structural upgrade in offline entertainment consumption. The brokerage forecasts DAMAI ENT's adjusted net profits for fiscal years 2026 to 2028 to be 1.06 billion, 1.354 billion, and 1.577 billion yuan, respectively, initiating coverage with a "Buy" rating.
