Wesco International Inc (WCC) shares surged 8.29% in pre-market trading on Thursday after the electrical distribution and supply chain company reported second-quarter results that crushed analyst expectations and raised its full-year guidance.

The company posted record quarterly net sales of $6.67 billion, up 13% year-over-year and well above the consensus estimate of $6.44 billion. Adjusted diluted earnings per share came in at $4.57, a 35% jump from a year ago and significantly beating the $3.97 analyst consensus. A key growth driver was data center sales, which soared approximately 45% year-over-year to $1.5 billion, reflecting strong demand in the sector.

Wesco also significantly raised its 2026 outlook, citing a record backlog that increased about 60% year-over-year, supported by multi-year customer commitments and accelerating infrastructure demand. The company said it expects continued strong momentum in data centers and infrastructure projects, with full-year adjusted EPS now forecast in a range of $16.00 to $17.50, above the FactSet estimate of $16.08.
