New Oriental-S (09901) opened more than 15% higher in early trading on Tuesday. As of the time of writing, the stock was up 15.63% at HK$46.16, with a turnover of HK$192 million.
On July 29, New Oriental released its financial results for the fourth quarter and full fiscal year ended May 31, 2026, for the 2026 fiscal year. The report shows that for the quarter ended May 31, 2026, New Oriental's revenue was $1.53 billion, a 23% increase year-on-year; operating profit was $85.8 million, compared to an operating loss of $8.7 million in the same period last year; net profit attributable to shareholders was $62.2 million, soaring 775.8% year-on-year.
For the fiscal year ended May 31, 2026, net revenue was approximately $5.661 billion, up 15.5% year-on-year. Operating profit was approximately $643 million, an increase of 50.2% year-on-year. Net profit attributable to shareholders was $475 million, up 27.8% year-on-year.
Looking ahead to fiscal 2027, New Oriental expects net revenue to be between $6.45 billion and $6.68 billion, representing a growth rate of 14% to 18% year-on-year.
