Muyuan Foods (2714) Announces Proposed Name Change and Amendments to Articles of Association

Muyuan Foods Co., Ltd. (2714) plans to change its Chinese name from 牧原食品股份有限公司 to 牧原食品集團股份有限公司 and its English name from Muyuan Foods Co., Ltd. to Muyuan Foods Group Co., Ltd. The proposed new names aim to align with international development strategies, leverage group structure, and enhance operational efficiency. The company’s stock code, English stock short name, and Chinese stock short name will remain unchanged.

Approval from shareholders is required for both the name change and revisions to reflect the global offering, convertible bond conversions, and the proposed new company name. Upon approval, existing share certificates bearing the current names will remain valid evidence of title, and there will be no exchange arrangement for new share certificates. The total investment and registered capital of the company are RMB5.74 billion, with a total of 5.74 billion ordinary shares in issue, comprising 5.46 billion A shares and 0.27 billion H shares.

Further details about the extraordinary general meeting, including a circular containing the proposed name change and amendments to the Articles of Association, will be distributed according to regulatory requirements. Upon completion, the company will update relevant internal documents and notifies that shareholders’ rights remain unaffected.
