The National Industrial Information Security Development Research Center, affiliated with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, has released its Office Agent Workflow Evaluation Report. This assessment focuses on the complete workflow execution capabilities of the Office Agent suite, covering Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Five commonly available Office Agent products were tested, with the results showing Baidu Library achieving the highest score and claiming the sole position in the top tier. The report conducted a comprehensive evaluation of Office Agent performance across four major scenarios: work reports, academic research, education and teaching, and party building studies. Visually, the agent provides well-structured, clearly layered, and uniformly formatted output, achieving industry-leading aesthetics. For example, in PPT creation, Baidu Library supports both professional and creative modes. The professional mode allows for generating master-level presentations with structured charts like bar graphs, pie charts, and heatmaps, while the creative mode delivers highly tailored visuals for contexts such as brand promotion, history and culture, or animated stories, often described as the gold standard for PPT aesthetics.
For Excel, the agent handles precise processing of vast amounts of information, including data filtering from multimodal and multi-format files, table generation, and complex AI-driven editing of formulas and charts. Word capabilities enable the rapid generation of professional long-form content, such as thousand-word market research reports or academic papers. With the support of public and private data from Baidu Library and cloud storage, industry-specific content expression becomes richer and more precise. In terms of functional experience, Baidu Library scores significantly ahead of competitors.
