The latest data from the Liquor Price Index shows that the average terminal retail prices for major premium Chinese baijiu products were generally weak on June 26th. The total price for a bundled package of one bottle of each major product today is 9,859 yuan, a decline of 11 yuan from yesterday, ending a brief rebound and marking the lowest level since April 18th of this year.
With the exception of Xijiu Junpin, all other varieties saw price decreases or remained flat. Four products—Feitian Moutai, Wuliangye Pu Wu Eighth Generation, Wuliangye 1618, and Crystal Jiannanchun—are at their lowest levels in nearly a month, indicating a further intensification of low-level volatility and subdued trading sentiment.
Of the eleven major baijiu products tracked, one rose, six fell, and four were unchanged, with declines dominating the session. On the positive side, Xijiu Junpin was the sole gainer, rising 4 yuan per bottle to reach its second-highest level in nearly a month.
On the downside, Premium Moutai and Qinghua Fen 20 led the declines, each dropping 4 yuan per bottle, with the latter falling back below the 370 yuan mark. Feitian Moutai decreased by 3 yuan per bottle, continuing its gradual retreat. Wuliangye Yibin Co.,Ltd. (Wuliangye) Pu Wu Eighth Generation fell 2 yuan per bottle, resuming its downward trend after a minor rebound yesterday to hit its lowest point since February 2nd.
Both Yanghe Dream Blue M6+ and Crystal Jiannanchun saw minor declines of 1 yuan per bottle. The former retreated slightly from its near-one-month high set yesterday, while the latter established a new low for the same period.
Prices for Wuliangye 1618, Guojiao 1573, Gujing Gongjiu Gu 20, and Qinghualang remained unchanged from the previous day. Notably, Wuliangye 1618 remains at its lowest level in nearly a month, while Gujing Gongjiu Gu 20 is also constrained at its second-lowest level over the past month.
The daily Liquor Price Index data is sourced from approximately 200 collection points distributed across major regions nationwide, including designated distributors, independent dealers, e-commerce platforms, and retail outlets. The raw data consists of actual terminal retail transaction prices from these points over the past 24 hours, aiming to provide objective, scientific, and fully traceable market price information.
The influence of new official sales channels is becoming increasingly apparent. Since the official iMoutai platform began selling Feitian Moutai at 1,499 yuan per bottle around New Year's Day (later adjusted to 1,539 yuan on March 31st) and Premium Moutai at 2,299 yuan per bottle starting January 9th (adjusted to 2,359 yuan on May 16th), their gravitational pull on terminal retail average prices has gradually materialized.
The daily published prices follow a calculation rule weighted by confirmed transaction volumes, and verifiable prices from these new channels have been incorporated into the terminal retail price calculations for these two products.
