The eighth Jiangsu Time-Honored Brand Expo is scheduled to take place at the Nanjing International Exhibition Center from July 10th to 12th.
This three-day event integrates three key initiatives: promoting time-honored brands through "Three In, Three Promote" activities, the Jiangsu leg of the "Quality Chinese Exports Nationwide Tour," and the "Jiangsu Products, Jiangsu Goods" campaign. The exhibition area spans 25,000 square meters, representing an increase of nearly one-fifth compared to last year, with participation from over 600 companies.
A highlight of this year's expo will be the "Jiangsu Products, Jiangsu Goods: Must-Buy, Must-Bring" Time-Honored Brand Championship. The competition is divided into six categories: morning tea, food, apparel, general merchandise, wellness, and handicrafts, featuring enterprises from across the province vying for top honors. The winning products will be selected for the "Must-Buy, Must-Bring" list.
Through the "Jiangsu Products, Jiangsu Goods" initiative, Jiangsu has already identified a batch of cutting-edge smart products, including AI glasses, panoramic VR cameras, laser mosquito killers, and exoskeleton robots. This campaign is transforming into a comprehensive matrix of quality goods that embodies "Jiangsu manufacturing, Jiangsu origin, Jiangsu culture, and smart technology."
Coinciding with a home match for the Jiangsu Super League's Nanjing team on July 11th, the expo will create a "Jiangsu Super League Second Screen" experience at the exhibition center's south square. Furthermore, on the evenings of July 10th and 11th, the "HI Beer Camping Market" will be held there, offering visitors live sports broadcasts, CITYLIVE music performances, and authentic local cuisine.
At this edition of the expo, more than 200 time-honored brands from across the province will showcase products across food, catering, general merchandise, pharmaceuticals, and handicrafts. Nearly 300 foreign trade enterprises, represented by companies like Suhao and Sumec, will present products for domestic sales, including home goods, consumer electronics, and textiles. Time-honored brands from other provinces such as Liaoning and Zhejiang have also been invited to participate.
Companies including Yangzhou Guangling Ancient Books Printing House, Suzhou Taihu Snow Silk, and Jiangsu Laineng Technology will host product launch and promotion events for new items.
Fourteen themed supporting activities are planned during the expo to assist businesses in finding sales channels and help consumers discover quality products. Online efforts will involve collaboration with e-commerce platforms like Taotian, Douyin, and Tencent, while offline channels will connect with entities such as Sinopec (SNP), Wal-Mart (WMT), and Freshippo. Seven financial institutions, including Bank of China (BACHY), will be on-site offering inclusive financial products. A Jiangsu-Liaoning production and sales matching conference will also be held to help Jiangsu companies explore markets outside the province.
Notably, this year's expo introduces a new "Time-Honored Brands, Ever Youthful" dialogue session featuring master artisans and inheritors of intangible cultural heritage from brands like Yanghe, Gaochun Ceramics, Hengshun, Leiyunshang, and Xiefuchun, who will discuss brand heritage and innovation.
The expo will also feature traditional skill workshops, where inheritors of intangible cultural heritage, such as those practicing Nanjing porcelain carving, will provide live instruction, allowing younger generations to experience the charm of these crafts firsthand.
The Third Jiangsu Morning Tea Championship will be held concurrently, with "morning tea teams" from cities like Yangzhou, Taizhou, and Zhenjiang showcasing their skills in preparing local specialties such as Guogai noodles, soup dumplings, and shredded dried tofu in broth.
A provincial commerce department official stated that the next steps will involve continuing the "Quality Chinese Exports Nationwide Tour," deepening the two flagship initiatives of the "Three In, Three Promote" program for time-honored brands and the Time-Honored Brand Expo, collaborating with sports events like the Jiangsu Super League, and continuously integrating cross-border elements like cultural creativity and gaming to create more diverse new consumption scenarios.
