On December 6, Lulong County of Qinhuangdao City hosted a promotional event titled "Millennial Legacy of Guzhu, Century-Old Fragrance of Sweet Potatoes" at the 28th China (Hainan) International Tropical Agricultural Products Winter Trade Fair.
During the event, several agreements were signed, including a special consumption promotion campaign for Lulong’s agricultural products, a project for fresh sweet potato starch production, and the establishment of a sweet potato cultivation base. Additionally, the R&D and production base project for the tea beverage brand "Blushing Qintiantian" was launched. Participating enterprises from Lulong focused on promoting specialty products such as sweet potatoes, engaging with over 100 buyers and securing intended cooperation deals worth more than 30 million yuan.
"We brought high-quality agricultural products to this year’s Winter Trade Fair, hoping to connect with more domestic and international buyers and expand sales channels for Lulong’s produce," said Gao Qingxi, a major sweet potato grower in the county.
The trade fair serves not only as a display platform but also as a crucial bridge for production and sales. Lulong County seized the opportunity to encourage local businesses to strengthen negotiations and exchanges with buyers worldwide. Many attendees were drawn to the unique appeal of Lulong’s premium agricultural products, actively seeking partnerships and business opportunities.
In recent years, Lulong County has continuously optimized its agricultural industrial structure by establishing a "one-town, one-industry" and "one-village, one-product" system. This approach fosters an integrated supply chain covering production, supply, and sales, guiding farmers to develop specialty agriculture tailored to local conditions. The county has also explored an "agriculture-plus" model, intensifying brand promotion and supporting enterprises in product R&D and processing to enhance added value. These efforts aim to drive the county’s agricultural sector toward scale, industrialization, and branding.
