Financial Regulatory Administration: Backing Increased Foreign Institutional and Long-term Capital Presence in China

Deep News10-19

At the opening ceremony of the 2026 Financial Street Forum Annual Meeting, Ding Xiangqun, Director of the National Financial Regulatory Administration, stated that efforts to advance institutional opening-up in the financial sector will be solidly pushed forward, with support for more foreign institutions and long-term capital to establish and grow their operations in China.

He emphasized the need to promptly respond to the demands of foreign institutions, continuously optimize and refine regulatory rules, and persistently foster a fair, transparent, and stable policy environment.

Foreign institutions are encouraged to leverage their own strengths, particularly in wealth management, pension and health, and green finance, to participate in more business pilots and achieve greater development while deepening their presence and investment in China.
