CHINA POWER (02380) announced that on April 9, 2026, Ling'an New Energy, an indirect non-wholly owned subsidiary of the company, entered into an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract with State Nuclear Power Engineering Corporation (SNPEC). Under the contract, the contractor will provide EPC services to construct a wind farm, a booster station, and related transmission lines for the Shidong Wind Power Project. The contract value is RMB 249.9 million (approximately HKD 284 million).
The Shidong Wind Power Project is identified as one of the key provincial-level construction projects in Guizhou Province. Benefiting from its advantageous suburban location and abundant wind resources, the project holds significant potential for wind power development. Upon completion, the project is expected to optimize the local energy structure, promote rural revitalization, and reinforce the national commitment to achieving the "dual carbon" goals—peaking carbon emissions before 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality before 2060. In the long term, the project is anticipated to enhance the Group's profitability.
This investment aligns with CHINA POWER's strategic objectives for green and sustainable development. The EPC contract was awarded to the contractor following a rigorous and competitive open tender process conducted via China's procurement and bidding platform, China Electric Power Equipment Information Network. The contract price is consistent with prevailing market rates for comparable projects offered by other companies. The Board of Directors considers that the terms and price of the EPC contract are no less favorable than those available from independent third parties.
