The yen appreciated by as much as 0.2% against the US dollar, reaching 157.90, as Japan's Finance Minister, Satsuki Katayama, stated she conveyed to US Treasury Secretary Bassett her concerns regarding the yen's one-sided movements.
Katayama indicated on Tuesday that Bassett shared her perspective on the yen's trajectory.
