HUTCHMED Announces Executive Reshuffle: Dr. Yansi Ya to Assume Senior and Lead Independent Director Role

HUTCHMED (00013) has announced that Professor Mo Shujin has informed the company he will not seek re-election to the Board of Directors following the upcoming Annual General Meeting scheduled for May 12, 2026. Upon his retirement, Professor Mo will also step down from his positions as Chairman and member of all Board committees.

In response to Professor Mo's planned retirement, the Board has approved the following changes to the composition of its committees and the role of Senior and Lead Independent Non-Executive Director, effective upon the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting, subject to the relevant directors being re-elected as directors at the meeting:

Dr. Yansi Ya will be appointed as the Senior and Lead Independent Non-Executive Director and as Chairman of the Nomination Committee. Dr. Hu Zhaohong will be appointed as Chairman of the Technology Committee. Professor Chen Shaowen will be appointed as a member of the Sustainable Development Committee.

Dr. Yansi Ya, Dr. Hu, and Professor Chen are currently Independent Non-Executive Directors of the company.
