Iraq Aims to Revamp Oil Pipeline for Direct Kirkuk Crude Exports to Turkey

In a video statement released on Monday, Iraq's oil minister announced that the country is working to refurbish an oil pipeline to enable crude to be transported directly to Turkey's Ceyhan port, bypassing the Kurdistan region. The minister added that inspections of the 100-kilometer (62-mile) pipeline section will be completed within a week, paving the way for direct exports from Kirkuk.
